Darren is a professional English teacher with over 17 years of experience, helping more than 200 students achieve success in exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, FCE, SAT, and GMAT.
He specialises in building confidence, improving speaking skills, and helping students reach their target scores efficiently.
Darren is CELTA-qualified and holds an Honours degree in English Literature, as well as a diploma in Newspaper Journalism.
Who we are
Darren and Laura Quinn run the Quinns’ English school in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. They have been teaching high-level English exams for seventeen years. During that time, Darren and Laura have observed the many difficulties faced by students when studying English. As a result, they have collected a wealth of tips and tricks to aid their students in achieving excellent grades.
Every student who has studied at the Quinns’ English has passed the Cambridge Advanced exam. Every student who has studied for the IELTS exam has achieved their desired grade.
Darren and Laura believe passionately in education. The fate of the world is in the hands of the children we see in the playground today. It is these children who will become doctors, politicians, and teachers, and who will determine the face of our future society.
It is also important to remember that it is never too late to start learning a language. The Quinns’ English has guided hundreds of adults through their English studies. Darren and Laura have taught courses in Business English, Academic English, Aviation English, Medical English, Tourism English, Legal English, and Creative Writing.
